Care of Equipment:

To insure that the equipment issued at the beginning of the year stays in good condition, please follow a few simple guidelines for its care:

Helmet: The helmet should be cleaned regularly with hot soapy water.  Do not use solvent or abrasive cleaners.  Check the helmet daily for loose screws, cracks or loose padding.
Shoulder Pads: Wash shoulder pads occasionally with hot soapy water.  Check the straps daily to insure a snug, yet comfortable, fit.
Rib Pads: Machine wash in cold water.  Line dry; do not tumble dry.  Do not allow rib pads to mildew.
Girdle: Remove pads and machine wash in cold water. Line dry do not tumble dry.  Reinsert pads before dressing-up for practice or game.
Pants: Remove all pads and wash in warm water. Do not bleach!!!!  Use an enzymatic cleaner (color-safe stain-remover stick or spray) to treat stains. Line dry; do not tumble dry.  Machine drying will weaken spandex .
Game Jersey: Wash in warm water. Line dry, do not tumble dry. Excessive heat will crack and remove names and numbers.

Please wash and dry the pants prior to turning in your equipment at the end of the year.  Unwashed pants will not be accepted.
